New River Alliance of Climbers (NRAC)
NRAC
is our local climber advocacy group. They are a network of climbers that have made a commitment to protect climbing access and resources in the New River Gorge area. NRAC has taken on the challenge of monitoring and maintaining climber access, trails, and anchors, as well as advocating on behalf of climbers to local and national governmental authorities. NRAC has been recently reformed and is in the process of reconnecting with interested volunteers, re-establishing relationships with the National Park Service, and getting underway with several re-bolting initiatives. NRAC is a registered non-profit corporation in West Virginia. We are a network of climbers that have made a commitment to protect climbing access and resources in the New River Gorge area.
