Fayetteville Restaurants

Fayetteville, WV has become known as a statewide dining destination with more independently owned restaurants than anywhere else in the state. Make sure you take the time to support these local restaurants, they are all well worth the visit. If you want fast food options you can find them just a short drive away, but do yourself a favor and check out the following restaurants.

Wildflour Bakery--Maple Avenue, Fayetteville $
Located next door to Ben Franklin in the heart of downtown, they offer freshly baked goods like breads, bagels, pastries and other sweet treats, plus sandwiches and drip coffee. Bear claw anyone?

The Vandalian--Court Street and Maple Ave, Fayetteville $$
Climbing legend Porter Jarrard and Peilee Ren are the proprietors of this newest eating establishment and it is awesome. Not only is the food amazing, they are staffed with the strongest crew of climbers on the East Coast. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner their menu features something for everyone. Monday night is sushi night and it's amazing. For breakfast the OTWG is a good deal, for lunch try the R/X Burger and for dinner you can't beat the Grilled Hanger Steak. Open year-round, closed on Tuesdays, Wifi

Secret Sandwich Society--Keller Ave. Fayetteville $$
Gourmet sandwiches named after Presidents and other historical figures, be sure to try them all and win cool t-shirt. Be sure to order a side of their homemade potato chips. They are located in the original Pies and Pints location on Keller Avenue. Open daily 8-4, serving breakfast and lunch.

Gumbos--Court Street, Fayetteville $$
Gumbos will take you on a gastronomical tour of Louisiana with menu offerings like Crawfish Etouffe, Shrimp Po'Boys, and our favorite the Latin Quarter Burger (Black Angus burger with a slab of brie cheese and carmelized onions). Open year round, Closed Monday

Pies & Pints Pizzeria--Maple Avenue, Fayetteville $$
Pies & Pints Pizzeria offers a great selection of gourmet pizza, sandwiches and salads, and an impressive list of beer and wine.  They use only the finest ingredients which makes for the best pizza you'll ever eat. Wifi. Open daily lunch and dinner.

Diogis--Court Street, Fayetteville $$
Pronounced Dee-oh-gees, this latin inspired restaurant has the best Mexican style food in the state. The owners are big dog fans, hence the name and you won't be surprised when your tortilla chips show up on your table in a dog bowl.  Not to worry, everything is made from scratch from wholesome ingredients, and it's also the only place in town where you can order a bona-fide margarita. Open daily, lunch and dinner.

Cathedral Cafe--Court Street, Fayetteville $
The Cathedral Cafe is a great place to start your climbing day. They offer a full range of breakfast items, specialty coffees and teas, wireless internet access and a healthy dose of local life. Wifi. Open Daily, 7-4pm
