DESCRIPTION:

Prevention is always the best medicine but if it hits the fan do you know how to get out of a jam? This clinic will give you the basic skills necessary to get you out of sticky situations. While we can cover these skills in a one day course, two days are recommended to get through all of the more advanced systems.

1 Day (8hrs): Refresher

It is critical that you practice rescue skills on a regular basis to retain them. If it's been a while since you're seen/practiced or read about these systems, you will benefit from the one-day refresher course. There's a lot to cover so time permitting, we will focus on as many of the following skills as possible:

-Knots and hitches for rescue

-Load Transfers

-How to descend and ascend the rope

-Hauling systems

-Rappelling with an injured climber

2 Days (16hrs): Intensive Intro 
If you're learning these skills for the first time, then we highly recommend the 2 day curriculum. There's a ton of information to digest and we will give you time to practice and refine all of the following systems:

-How to avoid common accidents

-Knots and hitches for rescue

-Load Transfers

-How to descend and ascend the rope

-Hauling systems

-Rappelling with an injured climber

WHAT TO BRING:

If you own personal climbing equipment we highly recommend you bring it with you because the equipment and materials you use can dramatically change the execution of each skill.
