Jeff hails from the flat lands of Madison, Ohio and miraculously has 2 decades of climbing experience. He started guiding for New River Mountain Guides in 2011. Currently, he is the Operations Manager, Senior Instructor, and a Warrior's Way Trainer.

Jeff has been described as a magical mythical unicorn. So it is not surprising he has developed a strong following of return clients who are taken by his patient teaching approach, ability to relate to people of all ages, and uncanny ability to dance up routes. A day of climbing with Jeff is an experience to treasure.

What did he do before becoming a professional climbing instructor? Jeff earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked at a nuclear power plant for a short time. After that, he worked for his family's plumbing and HVAC business for more than a decade. So you may learn how to fix your toilet and build a climbing anchor all in the same day!
