FULL DAY (8 hours): Educational focus

During your trip, you will have the opportunity to go in-depth with your instructor and have a more educational experience that allows you to get hands-on practice with the guidance of our AMGA Certified guides. Since every trip we lead is private instruction, your guide will assess your previous experience and help you fill in the gaps of knowledge that will help you work towards your stated climbing goals. Some things you could accomplish on a full-day trip are:

-Tour of New River Gorge classics and learn the area

-Anchor Set Up 

-Anchor Cleaning

-Lead Belaying

-How to lead sport or trad climbs

-Efficient Movement Skills

-Rappelling Best Practices

-Crack Climbing Technique

-Multi-Pitch Skills

-Self Rescue Skills

-How to support your teenage climber

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

• Transportation. You will follow in your own vehicle to the climbing area and depart from that location when your trip is complete.

• Gratuities. Your AMGA Certified Guide is a trained service provider who takes pride in offering you the best service possible. Tips are a way to show your appreciation for their professionalism. We recommend 10-20% of your total trip price as a starting point.
