WHAT TO BRING:

  • Small Backpack (20-30L)

To carry your personal belongings and the climbing equipment we will issue to you (harness, helmet, and climbing shoes).

  • Light Hiking Shoes

You will be required to hike to the cliff to climb/rappel. Walking time varies from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. DO NOT wear sandals, you must wear closed-toe/heel shoes such as tennis shoes, hiking boots, or similar.

  • Personal climbing equipment

We do provide all equipment but feel free to bring your own. We will do a quick inspection to be sure it's in usable condition with proper fitment. If we feel your personal equipment is in unacceptable condition, we may insist that you use the gear we provide for you.

  • 1-2 Liters/32-64 oz of water per person

  • Food/Snacks for the day

Pack crush-proof type food with minimal packaging. Some ideas are a bagel sandwich, hard fruit, nuts, energy bars, etc. There are take-out options at area restaurants, be sure to save time in the morning to stock up.

  • Clothing appropriate for the season

Wear non-restrictive clothing, we recommend non-cotton fabrics and workout-type clothing. Dress in layers so you’re ready for any weather situation--Short/pants, a short-sleeved shirt, and a light jacket or rain shell are best. Trips go out rain or shine unless lightning is present. In the colder months, a hat and gloves are a must!

  • Prescription Medications

If you are on any prescribed medication such as an asthma inhaler, insulin, seizure or heart/blood pressure medication, or epi-pen...make sure you bring it with you or you will not be able to go on the trip.
