HOW TO BOOK A TRIP:
It's simple. Click on the BOOK NOW button above to check pricing and availability, then pay online to secure your trip or course. It's that easy.
IF YOU DON'T SEE ANY AVAILABILITY LISTED ON THE CALENDAR, IT MEANS THERE ARE NO AVAILABLE GUIDES OR YOU ARE TRYING TO BOOK WITHIN 48-HOURS OF YOUR TRIP START.
Upon making a payment for your reservation you will receive an e-mail confirmation which will contain all the information on when and where to meet, as well as what to bring. If you are booking for a group of people, the email will include a link to our Acknowledgment of Risk Form. You should forward this email to the other members of your party so they can sign it.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
All participants must thoroughly read and sign our Acknowledgement of Risk form. If you are bringing a minor child that is not your own, you must arrange for this form to be signed by a parent or legal guardian of the minor child before you arrive.
We do not provide transportation to, from or during any of the course locations. You will follow your instructor in your own vehicle to the climbing area. Average drive times range from 15 to 30 minutes on paved roads. Any passenger car can easily travel to the crags in the New River Gorge area. The only exception is for our Teen Rock Camp programs.
BILLING, DEPOSITS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Full payment (or a deposit for large groups) is due at the time of booking to reserve an instructor, save a space on a course, or reserve a specific trip date. We do our best to provide a great climbing experience and prefer to reschedule trips instead of canceling.
Trips can be rescheduled at no additional cost and must be within 6 months of the original date. If it is determined that canceling is the best course of action, the following criteria will determine the refunded amount:
All trips canceled by you, are eligible for a full refund but are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
If you cancel 7 days or less before the start of your trip, your payment is non-refundable, but you can transfer your payment to another date in the next 6 months.
If you cancel your trip the day of or you fail to appear, no refund will be granted.
There will be no refunds once a course is half over.
All trips canceled by NRMG, will be 100% refundable.
TEEN ROCK CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY:
You must provide 30 days advance notice of cancellation, less than 30 days and your tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Should you cancel and you do so more than 30 days in advance of your trip, you may be eligible for a 50% refund.
Campers who leave prior to the ending of the camp program, including those who are dismissed from an active program session will not be refunded any portion of the tuition payment.
The weather at the New River Gorge changes regularly from day to day and hour to hour. It is not uncommon for the forecast to predict a 30% chance of rain or higher.
What this means is that there is a possibility of rain in 30% of the forecasted area. This also means there is a 70% area without any predicted rainfall. Fortunately, the Nutall sandstone dries very quickly and there are many protected areas that stay dry even when it is raining/has rained. The presence of any severe weather will prevent any trip from continuing as scheduled.
The forecast is ever changing and mysterious. We do our best to work with you in and around the weather. We also know how important this investment is to your climbing. Our guides know how to keep you busy and learning even in different weather conditions. And if that is not possible we can always reschedule.
We are permitted by the National Park Service and must adhere to strict guide to client ratios and group size limitations. These rule were implemented to reduce environmental impacts within the park and for your personal safety. Therefore, we cannot allow spectators to accompany climbing trips. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
