We recommend all of the following establishments for your lodging needs. They are all climber friendly and located minutes from our headquarters in downtown Fayetteville. Please let them know we sent you when you book, they've all taken care of our clients through the years and we like to take care of them.
AMERICAN ALPINE CLUB CAMPGROUND
Ames Heights Rd & Burma Rd, Lansing, WV
The AAC bought 40 acres of prime real estate within walking distance of Bridge Buttress and Junkyard Walls. The campground is a work in progress but currently has a road built and about 30 tent sites with raised platforms to pitch your tent. There is a spigot for water and portable toilets.
The campground is located off of Ames Heights Rd, just follow the directions for the Junkyard Wall in your guidebook and you can't miss it on your left just before the parking area for that crag.
No reservations are required, just show up, grab a site and the camp host will be around to collect your camping fee. It's just $5/person/night if you're an AAC member, $6/person/night for Access Fund Members, and $7/person/night for all others.
CHESTNUT CREEK CAMPGROUND
Lansing Rd. Lansing, WV
Minutes from Fayetteville and the Gorge, nice secluded sites, modern bathroom facilities, camp store. The quirky owner will be on you like white on rice to make sure you abide by all the rules. This tight run ship means you'll get a good night's sleep.Rate: $8-10/night
1199 Sunday Rd, Hico, WV
Ray's is a great choice if you're looking for a quiet night of sleep and you plan on climbing at the Meadow River or Summersville Lake. The staff is super friendly, the bath house is clean, and they have tent camping ($10/night), RV Hookups (camping fee +$10/night), as well as mini-cabins with bunkbeds ($50/night). Cash, Check, & Credit Cards accepted.
SUMMERSVILLE LAKE RETREAT
Mount Nebo/Summersville, WV
They've got a nice set-up complete with campsites, RV-Hook-ups, A-Frame Chalets, AND new in 2011 they've built some really nice big cabins if you're not into roughing it. They also do Boat Rentals (Pontoon, Paddle, and Fishing Boats). Owner's Steve and Donna are more than happy to point out the hot deep water soloing spots around Summersville Lake.
AMES HEIGHTS RETREAT

Quaint two-bedroom home, perfect for a family, couples or close friends. Located on the North side of the famous New River Gorge Bridge, adjacent to Adventures on the Gorge, and the American Alpine Club Climber's Campground.

Located just across the street from the NRMG office and on the upper floors of a beautiful historic main street building. Originally built to house a bank, these four units will be home away from home for people seeking a modern and hip alternative to the motels, cabins, or large vacation homes that are currently the only available lodgings in the area.
THE KELLER HOUSE
This newly remodeled mid-modern home located in the hip South Keller neighborhood is ideal for those wanting to experience the best of Fayetteville. 117 Keller Ave is right next to favorite local eats and no more than a five-minute walk to the town center and shops. Guests are also half a mile to the Fayetteville town trails which provide access to sought out views of the New River Gorge like Long Point. Perfect for anyone looking to adventure like a local and in style.

These guys are no strangers to rock climbers and they know how to pamper you. If you're not into roughing it and want to live like a king this is a killer spot with friendly folks to take care of you. Minutes from Fayetteville and the Gorge, cabins of all sizes, fully furnished, hot tubs, fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning, nestled in the woods, nature trails, a great escape from the ordinary.
NEW RIVER CABINS
Don't want to sleep in the dirt but you're on a budget? This is one of the best deals around. Located just 4 miles from the Gorge, these guys have 8 cabins that are price competitive with the hotels listed below. Each cabin sleeps 8 and is fully furnished with kitchenettes and bathrooms, satellite TV, air conditioning and heat, and they are pet friendly. Newly built in 2009 it's a great bargain at $120/night for 4 people. Check them out and tell them we sent you.
